Section 1050.1680  Subpoenas

a)         Upon written application to the hearing officer by any party incorporating a showing that a subpoena is reasonably required, the hearing officer may issue a subpoena for requiring attendance of a witness having knowledge of relevant facts at a deposition or hearing, and production of books, papers, accounts and documents at the deposition or hearing.  The subpoena shall be issued and enforced in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Act under which the hearing is authorized.

b)         Every subpoena shall state the title of the action and shall command each person to whom it is directed to attend and give testimony at the time and place specified in the subpoena.

c)         The hearing officer, upon motion made promptly and in any event at or before the time specified in the subpoena, may quash or modify the subpoena if it is unreasonable and oppressive.
