Section 243.126 Lead
a) Standard. The primary and secondary ambient air quality standards for lead and its compounds measured as elemental lead are 0.15 µg/m³, maximum rolling three month average measured and determined over a three-year period.
b) Measurement Method. For determining conformance with the ambient air quality standards for lead and its compounds, lead and its compounds shall be measured as elemental lead by reference method based on 40 CFR 50, appendix G and designated in accordance with 40 CFR 53, or by an equivalent method designated in accordance with 40 CFR 53 (incorporated by reference in Section 243.108). Compliance with the primary and secondary ambient air quality standards shall be determined in accordance with 40 CFR 50, appendix R (incorporated by reference in Section 243.108).
