Section 650.40  Review of Local Approvals by the State Superintendent of Education

a)         The State Superintendent shall review each report of an approved application or renewal to determine whether the statutory requirements have been followed and the proposed contractual agreement is complete and compliant with the provisions of Article 27A of the Code.  Proposed contractual agreements that are complete and compliant with the provisions of Article 27A of the Code shall be certified by the State Superintendent until the maximum authorized numbers of charter schools have been reached.  The State Superintendent shall send a certification of the charter to each local school board that is a party to the application and the charter school governing body.
