Section 110.60  Euthanasia Fees

 

Companion animals (pets, equids, camelids) and feral animals will not be accepted alive at any Department laboratory.  These animals must be euthanized prior to submission.  Livestock (cattle, swine, sheep, goats and poultry) can be accepted alive and will be euthanized following euthanasia guidelines published by the American Veterinary Medical Association. 

 

If chemical euthanasia is required, a minimum charge of $10.00 will apply.  Aggregate weights will apply when a submission includes multiple animals.

 

The following fees apply to livestock accepted at a Department laboratory for euthanasia based on the total weight of the livestock:
