Section 1075.210 Department Organization
a) The Office of the Director, the Director's Staff, the Deputy Director's Office, three line offices, and two support groups form the structure of the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety. The Director's Staff includes legal counsel, policy analyst, public and governmental relations, fiscal officer and administrative assistance. The IDNS line offices are as follows: the Office of Nuclear Facility Safety, the Office of Radiation Safety, and the Office of Waste and Transportation Management. The Office of Nuclear Facility Safety consists of two divisions. Those divisions are as follows: the Division of Reactor Safety and the Division of Environmental Monitoring. The Office of Radiation Safety consists of three divisions. Those divisions are as follows: The Division of Electronic Products, the Division of Nuclear Materials, and the Division of Radiologic Technology Certification. The Office of Waste and Transportation Management consists of two divisions. Those divisions are as follows: the Division of Waste Management and the Division of Transportation Coordination. The IDNS support offices are as follows: the Office of Technical Support and the Office of Administrative Support. The Office of Technical Support consists of three sections. Those sections are as follows: Emergency Planning, Electronic Data Processing, and Radiochemistry Laboratory Services. The Office of Administrative Support consists of two sections. Those sections are as follows: Budget and Fiscal, and Personnel. Other offices, divisions, or sections may be so designated by the Director. This organizational structure and the basic functions of each unit are presented in the Functional Organization Description detailed in Section 1075.220.
b) The specific personnel positions authorized by the Department and their organizational and supervisory relationships are presented in the Personnel Organization Chart shown in Appendix A. The Radiation Protection Advisory Council and the Radiologic Technology Accreditation Board, illustrated on this Appendix by broken lines, are shown to reflect the advisory capacity and the interaction with the Department. They are not within the organizational structure of the Department.
c) A description of the specific responsibilities and duties of each of the personnel positions of the Department staff is maintained by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety and is available for public inspection. |
