Section 1075.110  Definitions

Statutory definitions shall apply to terms in the Department rules, unless otherwise defined.  For purposes of these rules (20 Ill. Adm. Code: Chapter 1),

            "Act" means the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act, as amended (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1991, ch. 127, pars. 1001-1 et seq.).

            "Part" means a unified set of rules.

            "Rule" means each agency statement of general applicability that implements, applies, interprets, or prescribes law or policy, but does not include:

1)         statements concerning only the internal management of an agency and not affecting private rights or procedures available to persons or entities outside the agency,

2)         informal advisory rulings issued pursuant to Section 9,

3)         intra-agency memoranda or

4)         the prescription of standardized forms.

            "Section" means a single rule.

            "Subpart" means a unified set of rules within a Part.
